The March on Washington 2026 is planned as a safe, welcoming, and family friendly gathering. Your wellbeing is our priority, and we are committed to an event grounded in nonviolence, dignity, and care for one another.
This mobilization stands in the tradition of peaceful, nonviolent assembly. We ask everyone who joins us to help protect that spirit by remaining calm, lawful, and respectful toward fellow marchers, staff, volunteers, and the public throughout the day.
We march in peace. We look out for one another, we honor the dignity of every person present, and we keep this a gathering the whole family can be part of.
Event organizers work in coordination with local and federal authorities and the National Park Service to help the day run safely and smoothly on the National Mall. Trained march marshals, volunteers, and staff will be present throughout the gathering.
Look for clearly identified march marshals, volunteers, and staff. They are there to offer directions, answer questions, and help keep the flow of the day safe and orderly.
First aid and medical support will be available on site. If you or someone near you needs help, notify the nearest marshal or staff member right away.
Information and meeting points will help you find your delegation, locate services, and stay oriented. Locations will be shared closer to the event.
The gathering takes place on federal parkland. Please follow all National Park Service and venue guidelines and any instructions from event staff and officials.
A little planning helps everyone have a safe and comfortable day. Here is what we recommend bringing and keeping in mind:
Please leave behind weapons of any kind and any items prohibited by National Park Service and venue rules. A full list of prohibited items and bag guidelines will be posted to the website closer to the event.
Travel and stay together with your delegation, family, or group. Agree on a meeting point in advance in case anyone gets separated.
Please follow directions from march marshals, staff, and officials. Their guidance helps keep everyone safe as the day unfolds.
Keep an eye on children, elders, and anyone who may need extra support, shade, rest, or water during the day.
If you see something that does not feel safe, calmly notify the nearest marshal, staff member, or official. We take care of this movement together.
August days can be warm. Pace yourself, take breaks in the shade, drink water often, and watch for signs of overheating in yourself and those around you. We want this to be a gathering everyone can take part in fully and comfortably.
We are committed to making the march as accessible as possible. Accessibility details and points of contact for accommodations will be shared on the website as plans are finalized. If your group has specific accessibility needs, please let us know when you register.
For any emergency, call 911. For non emergencies during the event, find the nearest march marshal, staff member, or information point for assistance.
Additional safety contacts, first aid locations, and day of details will be posted to marchonwashington2026.com as the event approaches. Please check back often so your group has the latest information.
Because this movement unfolds in real time, safety guidance, logistics, and accessibility updates will be added to the website as they are finalized. The most current information will always be posted here.
