Advance Credential Pickup, Wednesday & Thursday
Media credentials will be available for pickup in advance of the march at the location and times below. All credentialed media are strongly encouraged to pick up credentials in advance to ensure a smooth and timely check-in on Friday.
- Location: Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, 901 G St NW, Washington, DC 20001
- Wednesday, August 26: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Thursday, August 27: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Bring a government issued photo ID. Credentials will only be issued to individuals whose names appear on the approved media registration list.

Satellite Truck Parking & Preset
- Required in advance: vehicle license plate and primary driver cell number must be submitted to Carson Smith, csmith@actumllc.com or (760) 681-8453.
- Location: East curb of Henry Bacon Drive NW. Facing the Lincoln Memorial, Henry Bacon Drive is to the right (north). The east curb is the press and satellite truck side.
- Satellite trucks will park in the blue area shown on the map below.
- Preset window is 6:00 to 7:00 a.m. All heavy equipment, cable runs, and tripods must be in place before the 7:00 a.m. security sweep. No large cases or equipment may enter the secure area after the sweep.
- Cable run is approximately 400 feet from satellite truck parking to the press riser.
- Crews should anticipate unexpected road closures. If turned back, call one of the on site media contacts, who will coordinate with law enforcement officials to assist with your arrival.
Approach Routes
To minimize cross traffic, arrival is separated by function.
- All press is designated to arrive through the north side only, via Henry Bacon Drive. This is deliberate, to keep members of the media and general guests separated upon arrival.
Press Check-In & Credentialing
- Press check-in is located at the northeast corner of the Lincoln Memorial roundabout, directly south of satellite truck parking on Henry Bacon Drive. There will be a marked tent to check in. See the pin on the map below.
- All media must check in here before accessing the riser or press areas.
- Bring government issued photo ID matching your credential registration.
- Unregistered and walk up media should expect additional screening, delay, and very possibly denial of access.
- Standard press without large equipment may arrive after the 7:00 a.m. security sweep and should proceed directly to press check-in. Non preset crews with larger gear intending to place equipment on the riser must arrive during the 6:00 to 7:00 a.m. preset window.
Press Areas
Press tent: For short, controlled interviews already coordinated with principals. Connect with NAN comms staff to access. This is not a check-in location. It is a designated location for interviews with speakers and principals. If you have someone who agreed to an interview, connect with a member of the NAN media team to coordinate your access to the tent.
Check-in tent: Credentialing only. No interviews.
Riser Management
- Riser space is limited. Positions are assigned by outlet and are not guaranteed without advance confirmation.
- Slots will be marked and managed by NAN staff on site.

Covering the March
- Crews wishing to cover the march step off should look for NAN staff at the riser as the final speaker concludes. Staff will lead media from the riser to the top of Daniel French Drive.
Heavy gear in place before 7:00 a.m. No exceptions after the sweep.
Press enters from the north side only, and must check in before entry.
Photo ID required at check-in.
Riser space is staff assigned and limited.
