The Leadership Conference Education Fund

Defend the Vote. Defend Democracy.

On Friday, August 28, 2026, The Leadership Conference Education Fund joins the National Action Network, the Drum Major Institute, and a coalition of more than eighty organizations at the Lincoln Memorial for the March on Washington 2026: Defend the Vote. We gather on the 63rd anniversary of the original march and of Dr. King's "I Have a Dream" speech. Thank you for standing with us on August 28.

Who We Are

Promoting and Protecting Civil and Human Rights

The Leadership Conference Education Fund builds public will for federal policies that promote and protect the civil and human rights of every person in the United States. In an increasingly diverse nation, we provide a powerful voice for human dignity and equality and a bulwark against discrimination.

Our work spans democracy, justice, and inclusion and opportunity, from voting rights, fair courts, and census and data equity to justice reform, immigrant rights, economic security, and education equity. Marching on August 28 is an extension of that work, carried to the steps where the movement made its case to the nation.

Democracy

Voting rights, fair courts, and census and data equity, the foundations of a government answerable to its people.

Justice

Justice reform, immigrant rights, and accountable policing in every community.

Inclusion and Opportunity

Economic security, education equity, and the fight against hate and bias.

Thank You for Marching

On Friday, August 28, 2026, you stood at the Lincoln Memorial. Thank you to every who marched with The Leadership Conference Education Fund.

Sixty three years to the day after a quarter of a million people filled the National Mall, you filled it again. What happened there does not end there.
